Anna Dickerson

Piano-Voice

IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

Anna Dickerson is a product of Curious Chords Music Studio! She started taking piano lessons here at age 7 and added voice lessons shortly after. Her most notable instructors have been Anita Williams on piano, Jenny Sandoval for voice, and Catherine Clarke for voice. Music has always been an important element in her life, leading her to join and excel in many middle school and high school bands and choirs.

Anna played piano for the Moe and Gene Johnson High School jazz band for two years, and was first chair synth in the marching band her senior year. She had multiple solos in the marching band show that won many first place awards throughout the competition season.

Through being a member of community honor choirs, varsity school choirs, and the Black and Gold select show choir, Anna’s love for singing and choral music blossomed. She most recently performed in the TMEA Region 18 Choir concert guest-directed by Dr. Lynne Gackle, Director of Choral Activities and Professor of Ensembles at Baylor University. She has received Division 1 ratings on 2 State level solos and even received the advice of “Sing forever!” from one of her solo judges.

Anna is currently a student at Texas State University. She will be majoring in Environmental and Resource Science. She will be minoring in music and will be a member of the Texas State choir program. Anna hopes to further her love for the earth, music, and art at college while simultaneously instilling that same love for music in her students at Curious Chords.
